About Vijay Vilas Palace
Vijay Vilas Palace, built in 1929 as the summer retreat of the Jadeja rulers of Kutch, is a superb example of Rajput architecture with Bengali domes, jaali balconies and a grand central cupola offering rooftop views over the sea. Its carved stonework and airy courtyards have featured in several Bollywood films.
The palace sits in 450 acres of woodland with its own private beach at the edge of the estate. Combine a palace tour with the adjacent beach for a wonderful Mandvi afternoon.
