About Swaminarayan Temple
The Swaminarayan Temple in Bhuj, built in 1822, is among the finest examples of hand-carved temple architecture in Gujarat. Its white marble shrine, ornate arches and beautifully sculpted pillars were crafted by artisans over decades.
The temple complex was rebuilt after the 2001 earthquake with the same devotion to detail. It remains a serene stop on any Bhuj city tour — modest dress is appreciated and morning aarti is a lovely time to visit.
