Smritivan Earthquake Memorial

Smritivan, on the slopes of Bhujiyo Dungar above Bhuj, commemorates the victims of the 2001 Bhuj earthquake. Its design is deeply symbolic: a winding hillside path passes 180 small illuminated domes, one for each village affected, and at night the hillside glows like a constellation.

The site also hosts the state-of-the-art Disaster Management museum and offers one of the best sunset panoramas over Bhuj city. Evening visits are especially beautiful when the memorial lights come on.
