About Narayan Sarovar
Narayan Sarovar is counted among the five most sacred lakes in Hindu tradition. Surrounded by temples — the main complex houses shrines of Lakshminarayan and Trikamray — the lake is a serene pilgrimage destination at India's western edge.
Just 2 km away stands Koteshwar Mahadev temple on a cliff above the Arabian Sea, the westernmost Shiva shrine in India — its sunset over the sea is spectacular. The wildlife sanctuary around the lake shelters chinkara, desert fox and many bird species.
