About Kutch Museum
Founded in 1877, the Kutch Museum is the oldest museum in Gujarat. Its eleven galleries cover archaeology, ethnology, textiles and natural history — including rare Kshatrapa stone inscriptions, coins of the Kutch state, and exhibits on the region's many tribal communities.
For travellers who want to understand Kutch beyond its landscapes, the museum is the perfect first stop. It sits beside Hamirsar Lake in central Bhuj, an easy walk from Aaina Mahal and Prag Mahal.
