About Aaina Mahal
Aaina Mahal, the Palace of Mirrors, was built in 1752 by Maharao Lakhpatji of Kutch. Its pleasure hall is lined with mirrored glass panels, gilded frames and coloured glass, created by the master craftsman Ram Singh Malam who trained in Europe.
Partially damaged in the 2001 earthquake and lovingly restored, the palace remains one of Bhuj's most atmospheric heritage stops. Allow 30–45 minutes and pair it with the nearby Prag Mahal for a complete picture of Bhuj's royal past.
